send a job

by disc guidelines

At MGS, we strive towards excellence, accuracy and attention to details.

To us do our best for you, please follow these simple steps before sending your job:

  1. Contact your MGS Sales representative and let them know that your job is on it's way so we can make sure it arrives as expected.
  2. Place your job file and any attached files in one folder and label it clearly as the job you want processed, please do not incude any other information on your disk. It may be accidentally deleted or ran instead of the job you want.
    Remember to :
    • Include all fonts.
    • Include all graphic files that are linked to the document. (It is important to include all graphic files even if they are embedded within a document. Often alterations need to be made to the original linked files, such as conversion of colours from RGB to CMYK or the addition of trap to vector images)
    • Ensure that all full-colour bitmaps are CMYK (not RGB)
    • Ensure that bitmaps are the correct resolution (roughly 300 dpi for 133 or 150 linescreen) Beware of images retrieved from the Internet. They are likely too low resolution for offset printing) Remove all compression used when saving your images, and save them only as a "tif" or "eps" file.
  3. SUPPLY A PROOF OF YOUR JOB either by fax or in PDF format. Your proof will show us what to expect to receive from your email. This also helps us establish what the file looks like and therefore produce the job according to your exact specifications. If the proof is not the latest version of your file(s), please forward a revised proof or mark ALL changes on the original proof sent to MGS.
