Environmental Commitment
We’ve always taken our commitment to the environment seriously.
Even before it was expected, we did it because we knew it was smart business practice and because it’s the right thing to do. For our employees. Our customers. And the future. After all, we live here too and it matters to us that we’re using resources wisely, so that our kids – and yours – have a future to look forward to.
Capital Colour is proud to be FSC® certified. FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council®) is the printing industry’s standard for socially responsible forestry practices. CoC (Chain of Custody) is the path taken by raw materials from the forest to the consumer. A product can only carry the FSC® label if the forest the fibre comes from receives an FSC® forest management certificate, and if all steps along the supply chain receive a chain of custody certificate. FSC CoC certification offers a guarantee that the product is from a well-managed forest.
We care about the environment, and when you print with us, you can show you care about it to when we add an FSC® mark to your project.
"THANK YOU thank you thank you! For all your hard work and efforts to help me get our brand guide out to the corporation. It was awesome and will be very helpful. It was worth all the hard work most definitely. I really appreciated EIA's relationship with Capital Colour and knowing how you personally go above and beyond for us. Thank you sincerely."

Environmental Responsibility,
Because it’s the right thing to do.
Through various methods of recycling and the use of non toxic materials we are committed to not only our clients and our environment, we are committed to the future. We send out 8 – 10 tonnes of press and bindery paper waste along with 1 tonne of cardboard packaging for recycling on a monthly basis. We also recycle all plastics, including plastic wraps and packaging.
In a conscious effort to support our environment, we are forward thinking and proactive about the use of chemicals. Our press plate processing is chemistry free, which enables us to produce plates without the use of harsh and toxic chemicals. We use vegetable oil based inks and water based coatings, as these products evolve we are evolving with them. Upon completion of our press runs, the plates are also recycled for aluminum recovery.
When it’s time to wipe the cylinders on our presses, we opt to use good old rags. These rags are picked up once a week to be laundered and returned back to us to re-use again. It matters to us that we’re using resources wisely and responsibly, so that our kids – and yours – have a future to look forward to.
