Presentation folders can be simple or customized depending on how much printed material you will be placing inside of it. Here are some things to think about for your business folder:
- Folders can be designed with or without pockets
- Folders can feature 1, 2 or even 3 pockets including left side pocket, right side pocket or both sides. For custom sizes such as 2-fold, 3 panel folders, 3 pockets can be included.
- Folders can include a slot for business cards or other promotional items
- Die-cutting can be used for specialized shapes
- Folders can be full colour, 2 colour or black and white, depending on budget
- There are many papers stocks to choose from lighter-weight on 80lb cover or more durable on 120lb cover
- Pockets can be standard size at 3” high, or customized at 4” high or more
- Finishes include different varnishes such as glossy, silk or matte coating or additional features such as embossing.

We also do a lot of recycling in our shop. Every month we save 8 to 10 tonnes of paper and 1 tonne of cardboard from the landfill. We also recycle plastic wraps and packaging, as well as our aluminium printing plates. We use eco-friendly vegetable oil-based inks and water-based coatings and our press plate processing is free of harmful chemicals.

What size is a presentation folder?
Typically, standard letter size presentation folders are 9” x 12” when folded. Many businesses choose this option for their presentation folder because they can comfortably hold 8.5” x 11” paperwork.
Some other common sizes are:
- 5” x 12.5” oversized standard folders
- 6”x 9” smaller folder
- 5” x 9” smaller folder
- 4”x 9” smaller folder

Does my business folder have to be printed on both sides?
No. In order to save costs, many businesses choose to print the outside of the folder only.
What kind of paper is used for printing folders?
Since folders are used to hold multiple pages and items, it is recommended that folders be printed on heavier, durable paper. Examples of durable paper include 12pt card stock, 80-100 lb. cover stock. The most durable paper weights include 120-130 lb. cover stock.
How much does it cost to print presentation folders?
The cost for presentation folder printing depends on a number of key factors including quantity, size, number of inks, paper choice, pockets, folds and finishes. As a starting point, the most economical folder to print would be a standard, 9” x 12” folder, but as the folder becomes more customized, the costs will go up in relation. The best way to determine cost would be to contact us for a quote today!
What is the minimum number of folders that I have to order?
The minimum number of folders we recommend printing is 250. Remember, the more folders you print, the lower the unit cost.
How long does it take to print folders?
From start to finish, it takes 7-10 business days. If there are complicated finishes such as die-cutting or embossing, there may be additional time needed.
